Closure For Blood Gutters For Veins: A Choreocomic Collaboration

“Closure” is a collaboration between myself, comic book artists John Jennings and Damian Duffy, and composer Jason Finkelman. The six dancers in this work embody superhero iconography, pedestrian physicality and virtuosic dancing to navigate the meeting of the two- dimensional world of comics and the three-dimensional world of dance. This exploration was an experiment in a multi-disciplinary negotiation of image, space and time that is colorful, exacting, and at once humorous in its short and lively journey.
